9 mar 2020 The Flipside of Dominic Hide. FirePit Nights.

Does anyone remember the remarkable TV Mini series "The Flipside of Dominic Hide" ? - Only Oldies will recall it, it was aired in 1980, (I was 16). We are now entering a genuine golden age of TV with almost no need to visit the cinema, ( I love the experience but the cost of tickets is a real outrage). Back to the point, There are a few real gems looking back at my youth in terms of TV, this is one of them. A Futuristic Time-travel love story, with the marvellous Peter Firth (whose career went from strength to strength after this), marvellously told, and wonderfully scripted. It's a bit like a cross between Blakes 7 and Dr Who, but with a genuinely good script and sympathetic performance.

You can actually watch the whole thing on Youtube - check it !

Sam has transformed much of the house since we moved in 2 years ago, of the 3 gardens, our lower decking back garden is perfect for Firepit evenings in the summer fuelled by the smoothest of Pinot Noir (s).....  Shes really talented at interior exterior design, her longer term plans include more upper garden decking, outdoor furniture and an outdoor Jacuzzi for the lower deck. That should keep me fully out of mischief for a while.

Will be seeing Joe next week first time since his return from 3 years living in Japan, where he and his partner taught English. Cant wait obviously.  How lucky we have been (unsure if lucky is used in an appropriate context!) to have enjoyed excellent weather of late during this lock down. The next decent day, Im going to walk to Pugneys (300 acre lake and national parkland) which is a 1.5 miles away from the house.

My Bitcoin purchases last week are up 15% already (mental?), the devastating stock market falls of over 8 weeks ago have (for me personally) fully recovered. As we know, the stock market is a predictor, or attempts to be a predictor of the future economy. Im really not sure I agree with its optimistic prognosis, and have kept a large portion of my portfolio on the sidelines....
